Fresh Strawberry Basil Ice Cream

This fruity, herbaceous ice cream is a refreshing treat that’s perfect for summer. The combination of sweet strawberries and fragrant basil is unexpected and delightful.

Ingredients

• 2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
• 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
• 1 cup fresh strawberries, puréed
• 2 tbsp fresh basil, finely chopped

Instructions

1. In a blender or food processor, purée the strawberries until smooth.
2. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
3. In another bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk, strawberry purée, and chopped basil.
4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the strawberry mixture until combined.
5. Pour into a loaf pan or freezer-safe container. Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours.
6. Scoop and serve with fresh strawberries or a drizzle of balsamic glaze for an elevated touch.
