Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries

Ingredients

• - 1 pint of fresh strawberries
• - 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips or chocolate bars
• - 4 oz white chocolate (optional, for drizzling)
• - Sprinkles, crushed nuts, or coloured sugar (optional for decorating)

Instructions

1. 1. Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries, making sure no water remains on them.
2. 2. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate: place it in a heatproof bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
3. 3. Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the berry. Let any excess chocolate drip off.
4. 4. If desired, dip the chocolate-covered strawberries into sprinkles or crushed nuts.
5. 5. Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined tray and allow them to set in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
6. 6. Optional: Melt the white chocolate and drizzle it over the chocolate-dipped strawberries for extra flair.
7. 7. Serve once the chocolate has hardened.
